Does the weather affect your mood?  It certainly does affect mine and today is a lovely sunny day with a promise of Spring to come.  However, several of us in the house are laid low with chest infections, trying not to cough because it hurts our chest and gives us a headache!

I should be in the Studio being productive but do not feel up to it so I thought I would catch up with my blog.

I have had a fairly productive couple of weeks, producing lots of samples for my Taster Sessions and had a great run through with my friend Lynne, who thoroughly enjoyed making a suncatcher.  Thanks for being my guinea pig Lynne x Watch this space for the results which have not been fired yet.vcm_s_kf_max160_160x89

In the meantime, I am welcoming my first students for a Taster Session on Friday when hopefully my germs will be all gone.  I will post before and after pictures of their creations.

I have had some feedback and several of you plan to come along soon and have always wanted to `have a go` at fused glass.  Therefore I still have spaces on my remaining sessions – one space for Friday at 1pm and more availability on Saturday and Tuesday, have a look at the Workshop page for times.

One of my indulgences is having my nails done on a regular basis.  So today I took myself off in the rain to see Claire at Beautopia in Hayle.  It is such a busy and friendly salon and it never fails to cheer me up, having a good chat and laugh with the girls and the other customers.  A lovely cup of coffee and an hour of pampering and `me` time.

When I first started going I was very conservative and only had a french manicure, I think you call it, with white tips.  Now I am very adventurous and like to challenge Claire and she never lets me down!  The girls there are true artists, they just work on very small canvases!

I love what Claire did today, what do you think?

Do you feel artistic?  Why not come and be creative at one of my Taster Sessions.  It is so easy and very satisfying to produce a hand made piece of fused glass.  No experience is necessary and if you are one of the many people who thinks they are not artistic, I promise you that you will surprise yourself!

All materials and tools are supplied and for just £10 it is cheaper than the fish and chip supper I treated myself to tonight!
